you can also get a free website at many of these sites as well - just remember that you’ll want FTP Access to allow you to upload large files quickly; and the ability to host mp3 and other music and graphic files.

We also suggest that it would be helpful if your hosting site has it’s own music section for new artists; where you may get more notice and even meet a few new musician friends to network with.

We also suggest getting an account at RateThisTune.com to help with getting your music heard by a larger audience. this site allows you to email links to your music and it also allows you to get a feel for the public opinion with votes for your music from the general public and other site users.

One of our other favorites is Jamroom. This site allows you to upload your music to your own java jukebox. very useful when you want to influence Radio Play.

the Nice Folks at PeaceLoveProductions have a long list of Promotional Sites that are updated often and span the gamut of musical tastes and trends.

In our opinion, This is the Momma of all Music Site Lists; Essential is the word for this site - which updates often.

Do Not Underestimate the power of Social Networking Sites such as Myspace.com or Friendster.com; which have millions of users dropping in daily to just catch up on the latest and greatest - which would be YOU !

Personally I prefer to visit BlackPlanet.com; and mix it up with the folks who love music - from My Perspective.

This Article gives lots of great links to Virtual Audio Studio Programs and Sites; many like Garageband link you to larger audiences and even some competitions.
